Matfield Green Cricket Club

At Matfield Green CC, we offer non-league, traditional village cricket to all ages (currently, we have players aged from 16 to 66) on Saturday or Sunday throughout the summer.

We play our home games in the heart of Matfield village on the largest village green in Kent and play against other Kent village sides. Our away games are a bit different; we have an annual match with Queen’s College, Cambridge and in 2016, we toured Sri Lanka and in 2017, Bordeaux and Toulouse.

Traditional village cricket involves a timed game with no set number of overs. Between the innings, we indulge in another of the great English traditions, a splendid afternoon tea.

If you are looking for the real spirit of cricket, to start your cricketing career, to recapture your lost youth or just spend an afternoon in the perfect English setting, in white flannels on an English village green or just watching a small act in our English heritage – come and join us.
