BRENCHLEY AND MATFIELD NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN: A FURTHER UPDATE
Work is continuing on the preparation of the first draft of the neighbourhood plan. The latest version incorporate advice from the Parish Council’s planning consultant, which has further refined many of the policies and their supporting arguments. Attention has also being given to documenting the landscape views and green spaces which the NP will seek to protect and safeguard, many of which were put forward during previous public consultations. The PC will need to write to the relevant landowners, to notify them of its intention to include particular areas of their land.
The long-awaited Draft Local Plan has now been released and can be found via the link given below. As highlighted in a previous update, two public meetings will be held to explain to residents and businesses the main provision of the document. These will be organized by the Parish Council – look out for posters around the parish, the posts on the Facebook pages, and a notices in the News section of the parish website.
The consultation period for the Local Plan will run from September 20 to November 1. The events organized by the PC will reflect that timetable.
