Fire Safety

Help safeguard your community from fire. Kent Fire and Rescue Service is appealing to residents to ensure vulnerable members of the community are safeguarded from the risk of fire.

Community First Responders

Community First Responders are volunteers who are trained to respond to emergency calls in their local area through the 999 system in conjunction with the UK’s regional Ambulance Service. They are not a substitute for the Ambulance Service but, as they are based within the community in which they either live or work, they are able to attend the scene of an emergency call in a very short time and can administer vital, life saving first aid treatment before the arrival of an ambulance crew. A group of volunteers is currently being trained to serve Brenchley and Matfield.

Sport England Award

In a publicity event at Mascalls School on 17th July, gigantic cheques wrere given to some of the successful recipients of Sport England 'Inspired Facilities' awards. These included Brenchley Parish Council which will receive £50,000 towards the rebuilding costs of Matfield Pavilion.

New Website for Brenchley Memorial Hall

Brenchley Memorial Hall and Sports Grounds now have a new website which gives details of all the facilities available there.

Cinderhill Woodland Leaflet

Cinderhill Woodland is a twelve hectare nature reserve on the edge of Matfield village. A new leaflet has been produced to help guide you around the reserve.
