Cinderhill Woodland Leaflet

Cinderhill Woodland is a twelve hectare nature reserve on the edge of Matfield village. A new leaflet has been produced to help guide you around the reserve.

Matfield Short-listed in Competitions

Matfield Inn Store has reached the last six in the competition for the award of "Kent Community Retailer 2010". And Matfield has been short-listed in the final six for the "Kent Village of the Year" competition. The results of both competitions will be announced on 15th September.

Thanks to the support of 40 village businesses and organisations, Matfield has been entered for the Kent Village of the Year Competition.

Brenchley War Memorial

The repairs to Brenchley War Memorial are nearly complete. There will be a dedication service once it is installed. There are also plans for a commemorative booklet and the Parish Council is looking for information from those with any knowledge of the vistims whose names are commemorated on the memorial

Shop Opening - Photos

The new Matfield Village Shop and Post Office was formally opened on Thursday 8th April by Heidi Nicklaus who plays Kathy Perks in "The Archers".
